Western Keys
Western Keys is a band from Austin, Texas, led by singer Ben Dickey. Their first CD, ''Damage'', was written in a few weeks and released on The Self-Starter Foundation on 10 September 2002. This EP featured seven songs, which has been categorized as alt-country or indie. Other band members have included John Troutman, Daniel McIntosh, Tom Hudson, Tyler Mallory, Charles Bissell and Leslie Sisson. Although "Damage" is only a little over sixteen minutes long, it has been hailed by many reviewers as a sign of better things to come. Britt Daniel of Spoon picked the album as one of his top ten CDs of 2002. Western Keys has been known to cover Danzig's "Going Down to Die" during live performances.
